The resort of Puerto del Carmen has a 6km stretch of promenade that runs from the end of the runway at Matagorda to the main beach Playa Grande. Perfect for a long walk! Georgina, down hill four minutes to almost centre of strip. Turn left, two minutes to casino, golden corner etc. Further ten minutes to spar, sorrento and end of strip. Turn right, one minute to centro, two to route 66 and 15 minutes to end of strip. Another 5 minutes on low road cut through to old town. Edited: 11 years ago.
